03/27: Wife: Don't Expect Bob Sheppard at the Open of the New Yankee Stadium
Updating a
previous story, Bob Sheppard's wife, Mary, told
Newsday that it wasn't likely that he'd be on hand when the Yankees open their new stadium on April 16.
So the opener is out of the question? "He would love to be there; he would love it,'' she said. "But at the moment the stamina isn't there.''
That's a shame.
