From BostonHerald.com:

A Yankees executive confirmed that they have interest in signing right-hander Runelvys Hernandez, who exercised his contractual right to opt out of his deal with Pawtucket yesterday. The Cleveland Indians also are believed to have some interest in the former Kansas City Royals ace...

Hernandez has a career record of 25-33 to go along with a 5.38 ERA. He was 0-3 with a 3.06 ERA at Pawtucket so far this year. I don't see where he'd fit on the major league roster (unless things go really, really bad... like, worse then they are now... try not to think about it), but if he's cheap... what's another arm in the minors, I guess.

Maybe we're interested in him so that he can tell us all the Red Sox secrets?
