07/30: Yanks Sign Embree
Minor signing:
Yanks get former Red Sox reliever Alan Embree.
Looking at his
numbers, I'm not terribly impressed... for his career, he's held lefties to a .234 batting average while holding righties to a .261. I honestly thought he was better than this, for some reason... his career numbers are 29-32 with a 4.62 ERA in 611 games.
On the upside, he has pitched in 30 postseason games, compiling a solid 1.69 ERA (1-0in 21 and 1/3).
